Here I go on my own

I’m excited to share some big news. After years of working in IT and digital consulting, I’ve taken the leap and started my own company, Timberline Digital Consulting Inc.
Living in the Bulkley Valley, nestled in Northern British Columbia, I’ve had the chance to work with businesses across the country, helping them navigate digital adoption and integrate technology into their operations. Through these experiences, I’ve gained a deep respect for the challenges entrepreneurs face every day. I’ve seen the incredible passion and dedication that business owners pour into their work, and I’ve also seen the struggles, especially when it comes to managing and implementing technology in a way that actually serves their business goals.
Now, I find myself on the other side of that equation. Taking the step to launch my own business has been both terrifying and exhilarating. For the first time, I truly understand what it feels like to dive headfirst into the unknown, balancing risk with ambition and embracing uncertainty with the hope of building something meaningful. There’s a certain irony in having spent years helping businesses implement systems and optimize processes, only to find myself at the starting line of my own venture, faced with many of the same questions and uncertainties.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned already is just how much trust plays a role in entrepreneurship. Trust in yourself, trust in your vision, and trust in the people around you. No one builds a business alone, and I am incredibly grateful for the support network that has encouraged me to take this leap. From my mentors and colleagues to friends and family, their encouragement and guidance have been invaluable. Whether it’s a conversation over coffee, a piece of advice from someone who has been through this before, or just a simple "You’ve got this," those moments of support mean everything.
Starting Timberline Digital Consulting is more than just a business decision. It is the culmination of years of experience, learning, and a deep desire to make a difference. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be when technology feels like an obstacle rather than a tool. Businesses should be able to rely on their IT solutions without feeling overwhelmed, overcharged, or left in the dark. I want to take what I’ve learned and use it to help businesses feel empowered rather than burdened by their technology choices.
There’s something incredibly humbling about starting from scratch. Even with years of experience, I know I don’t have all the answers. But what I do have is a relentless drive to find solutions, a deep respect for the people I work with, and a willingness to learn and adapt. If there’s one thing I’ve always prided myself on, it’s my resourcefulness. No problem is too big to tackle if you’re willing to dig in and figure it out.
As I embark on this new journey, I’m looking forward to the challenges, the wins, and everything in between. I’m excited to work with business owners who are looking for a trusted partner to help them make sense of an increasingly complex digital world. I’m eager to continue learning, growing, and building a company that reflects my values. Humility, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to finding the best solutions for the businesses I work with.
I know there will be tough days. There will be moments of doubt and obstacles that feel insurmountable. But that’s part of the adventure. Every entrepreneur I’ve worked with has faced their own set of hurdles, and now I get to experience that journey firsthand. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, here’s to new beginnings, to taking risks, and to building something that matters. To everyone who has been part of my journey so far, thank you. Your support means the world to me. And to those I haven’t met yet, I can’t wait to see where this road takes us.
If you’re a business owner navigating your own challenges with technology, let’s connect. This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
